Kontribusi Pembelajaran Musik terhadap Pendidikan Siswa Sekolah Dasar: Studi Literatur

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of music learning to the cognitive and affective development of elementary school students based on a literature review. Music learning is seen as having a strategic role in supporting the holistic learning process at the elementary education level. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing journal articles and relevant academic publications published in the period 2019-2025. Data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through grouping themes and synthesizing research findings to identify the forms of music learning's contribution. The results of the study indicate that music learning predominantly contributes to improving students' creative thinking skills, learning concentration, motivation, and positive attitudes towards the learning process, while supporting the development of social skills. Music learning also serves as a fun and contextual learning tool for elementary school students. These findings imply that elementary school teachers can integrate music learning more systematically into learning activities, while educational policymakers need to consider strengthening music learning in the curriculum as an effort to improve the quality of elementary education.
