The short story The Night Train at Deoli tells the story of a character who recalls his past through brief scenes that are repeatedly visited. This study aims to describe the pattern of narrative structure in Ruskin Bond's short story The Night Train at Deoli in terms of narrative order and frequency. The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis with a narratological framework of Gérard Genette. The research data was obtained from the narration, dialogue, and monologue found in the short story. In analyzing the data, the researcher used content analysis techniques to identify how the aspects of order and frequency shape the narrative dynamics in The Night Train at Deoli. The results of the study found that The Night Train at Deoli is dominated by analepsys anachrony, which is the inconsistency between the chronological order of the narration and the time of the story in the short story that precedes each other. Meanwhile, in terms of frequency, four types of frequency were identified: 1) Singulative: depicted in descriptions of memorable atmospheres and encounters that are not repeated, 2) Repetitive: depicted in the narration of the character's inner conflict to add emotional impact, 3) Iterative: marked by the phrases I used to, I always, in the last few years, as often as I can, and 4) Plural singular: depicted in scenes where the protagonist continuously returns to Dehra and transits at Deoli station to search for the basket-selling girl.
